Are You Looking For A Place To Play Soccer With Your Friends?

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, with over 3.5 billion fans around the globe, it is obvious why individuals like yourself are looking for places to play. With a city so big it can be difficult to find spots that are open to the public. That is why I am here to help!

Finding places that have amazing conditions to play in hard to find. Imagine being excited to play a sesh and realizing the location is unplayable. Well, San Diego State University is a great place for you and your friends to host or join pickup games. They have two soccer nets you could use and move around to your desired liking. If you are worried about where to park, there are five spots designed for public parking. It is located by the stairs near the entrance for parking structure 12. If those spots are taken you can also park in the parking structure, but you have to pay. I recommend downloading the app PayByPhone. Once you download the app look for the location number located in the parking structure. Make sure you enter your license plate correctly that way you don’t get a ticket. I also recommend turning on your notifications that way you know when the time limit you paid for is about to expire.

Feild ENS 700

My second recommendation is also located at San Diego State University. This field is called ENS 700. Sometimes the lacrosse and football clubs like to reserve the field so be aware that you may have to wait a certain amount of time before using the field.

Unfortunately, the nets are locked in place so you cannot move them to your desired location. But the good thing is you can still use them. Just be careful to not blast the ball. Although, there is an additional fence behind the net, a common bike lane is located right behind it. Be mindful of those who are using it we don’t want them to get hurt.

Let’s say you do hit the ball over the fence, don’t panic. Your ball may be stuck between the bushes, or it may have rolled down the hill near the basketball stadium. I recommend parking near the CERCA Student Center Housing. You get access to free public parking after 5:00 PM.

McKinley Elementary

If you prefer real grass this is the place for you! This site is regularly maintained so you don’t have to worry about the grass interrupting your soccer sesh. Think of this location like your friendly neighborhood park. It contains a playground, exercise equipment, and a small dog park. With this being said, be aware of the little kids and furry friends rooming around. But this isn’t a cause for concern. You and your friends will have plenty of space to use. There are plenty of spaces for public parking as well.
